For over 12 years, we've been mapping suburface utilities for dozens of Wind Farms across the US. We are providing accurate underground GIS mapping of subsurface pipelines, utilities, well heads, and abandoned lines not recorded or lost over the years.
Our process is simple:
GPR/RD scanning the direct route of the new access roads, mV routes, homeruns, substation, MET tower and turbine pads sweeps.
Each project is different in terrain, weather, complexity but we have a daily average of roughly 2 miles of GPR/RD scanning + GPS collection. The right-of-way width varies but on average 50’ picking up the location and depth of the buried assets or targets.
In Field - Identify subsurface assets on surface with use of paint, flags and/or wood stakes.
Last - All above and below ground improvements/utilities are recorded using accurate GPS equipment with geo-referenced site photos for any drafter, engineer, designer or project manager can "see" what is buried
